All reservations for Waynestock must be made here, not directly through the outfitter. This is because our trip has several amenities packaged in, that are not provided by River Expeditions.

First and foremost, you will need a TENT, unless you intend to reserve a cabin.

Cabins are available in the Waynestock area but are not included in the trip price.  Cabin reservations are made directly through River Expeditions.

MAKE SURE
you tell them you are with the Waynestock group when you make your reservation. This is critical to being put in the correct location.

The hospitality tent on Shakedown Street:

Provides food, soda, water, beer and various other refreshments. Gas grills will be available to cook hot dogs, burgers, chicken, sausages, etc. that will be available 24/7. There will be some snack items, but you may want to bring your own extra munchies.

**In order to stock the bar tent we ask that everyone bring a bottle of something to contribute.

Bonfire:
We provide a large central fire for the weekend. The fire is large enough for up to 50 people to sit around it at any given time. Our Fire Marshal is in charge of all things fire related. This is to ensure all the wood isn’t mismanaged. Please check with him before making any significant changes to the fire or fire pit.

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS THINGS TO KNOW

RV’s are ok. There are no water or power hook-ups in the area designated for Waynestock. There is a bathroom only a few feet away however.

Dogs are welcome. They must not disturb other guests and must have plenty of food, water, and shade while you are rafting.

Rafting on Saturday is down the Lower New River in West Virginia. The river is known to be one of the most exciting in North America. The outfitter we use is River Expeditions.

Videos and pictures are taken while on the river and are available for purchase at the outfitter store. They play each trip so you can watch yourselves on the rapids as soon as you get back.

Any questions you have about where it is, what they offer, etc. can be found on their website.  There is also a Google Map view of where we are going here.

If you have any other questions about something not covered here, feel free to e-mail me or post your question on our Waynestock Group Page on Facebook.
